Let It Snow! Challenge #4: Christmas/Holidays

Week 4 of the Let It Snow! Challenge (:

Polishes used:
*Koh Stunning red!
*Catrice Goldfinger

I chose these two colors because they're my favourites for christmas. I love how the gold goes well with the red. I went with a reverse gradient. That's the reason why the skin around my nails is still a little bit gold ;)
I hope you all had a wonderful christmas!

Let It Snow! Challenge #3: Ugly Christmas Sweater

Week 3 op the Let It Snow! Challenge has already arrived. This post is a little bit later than I wanted it to be, but unfortunately I couldn't help it. I'm trying to finish week 4 in two days, so I won't get far behind.

Polishes used:
*Koh Stunning Red!
*Catrice Be Aztec
*White acrilic paint

As you probably can see the lines are really not straight. I made this a little bit too fast and wasn't really paying attention on what I was doing. I'm not really satisfied with this one, but I was not in the mood to make a new one. I promise next one will be a lot better! Oh, and of course: Merry Christmas!

Inspiration of the moment: Handgloves/Mittens

Let's be honest with eachother for a second: who survives those cold winter-like days without warm and cozy mittens? I don't, for sure. Since the temperature dropped a few degrees here in the Netherlands, I really like to have my hands covered up in super warm mittens with fun designs so my hands will not fall off because of the really cold weather. Seriously, a few days ago the first snow fell, which is kind of extraordinairy for this time of the year, even for the Netherlands. In the night the temperature is just below zero and in daytime the temperature doesn't really get above five degrees Celsius.

So: mittens! They're available in lots of different colors and designs to match with your outfir everyday. I really like to get inspiration from the internet. I also just like to look at the pictures, they just give me a nice winterfeeling.

Let It Snow! Challenge - #1 Snowflakes

Here's the first mani for the 'Let It Snow! Challenge', yay!
Please don't look at the length of my nails, they're really short, I know. I kind of ruined them in school :(
Anyway, here are the polishes I used:
~ Sephora A-ha! Moment
~ Catrice Captain Sparrow's Boat
~ Catrice Goldfinger

I quess I really heve to get some sort of stamp for snowflakes, 'cause I kind of blew it free-handed :) I do like the colors, I just get really excited for Christmas. It actually snowed yesterday, but unfortunately it didn't last very long, 'cause it was raining at the same time.

September Inspiration: SweaterWeather

This post is going to be some sort of September inspiration. Let's just call it like that.
It's already fall for a while, but now the days are actually getting colder. The days are shorter and what's better than sit at home at a fireplace with a cup of tea and at the same time snuggeling in one of your comfiest sweaters? Nothing, right?

And you heard me: it's sweaterweather here in the Netherlands. For a few weeks I've been looking for the best sweaters, but unfortunately I haven't found one yet. I really have to hurry, because I'm not going to survive this winter with the shirts I have. ;)

Here is some inspiration I've been looking for:

I just love this pattern! Source

Life is a dream, when the rain stops falling

Janna and I decided to go outside to the lake since it was the first day in a week without having loads of rain falling from the sky. Fall is not the perfect season in Holland, except for the beautiful colours the trees give of course. Thank you, Janna, for taking the pictures! If you haven't seen her blog yet, you should definately check it out! --> click

The ducks were joining us :D

With my little vintage bicycle necklace, yay!

Have a great weekend!

Map of the World!

This is my entry for the Two Bottle Challenge on Nailed It. The two polishes I used!
*Catrice Blue Cara Ciao
*Essence Lime Up!

Thumb: South America, Africa
Index finger: North America
Middle finger: Europe
Ring finger: Asia
Little finger: South East Asia

I mixed those two colors to get a darker green color and to get a more 'realistic' drawing. Because I mixed the colors, I had to paint it very quickly because the polish was drying fast. That's why you have like the 'dotting' effect. Enjoy!

Puuurrrple

New nail art update! Yay!
A little bit late this time... I was really busy with schoolstuff. But now it's finally friday!
* Rimmel Pompous (which I got from the lovely Janna (click here) for my birthday! Totally in love with this!)
* Catrice Goldfinger

It was the first time I tried reverse gradient ( I still don't really know it is reverse gradient I did on my nails XD). The colors give me a winter/Christmas feeling. I'm a little bit early this year ;)
It was really hard for me to capture the actual colors and glitter, but this is sort of what it looks like ;)
Only the purple looks really dark in the pictures, but ah well.
Here they are!

Thanks for reading!

Color mixing

Hey!
New nail art update, brought to you all the way from the rainy Netherlands!
*Sephora by OPI A-ha! Moment
*Koh the green color, no name :(
*OPI Pink Friday
*Gosh Wild Lilac
*Black acrilic paint

It's a mix of different colors I wouldn't put together normally, with a little bit of tribal. What do you think?

I'm really, really happy with the result! In my opinion, the colors match really well.
Aaaand... tomorrow is my birthday! Yay! It feels like I waited too long for turning sixteen.
Have a great day,

Juicy Apple Tips

Heyhey!
New nail art update! I've seen this kind of nail art before and in my opinion it's just really cute. I actually really like how this turned out on my own nails.
*Catrice Cotton Candy At Eiffel Tower
*Koh Stunning Red!
*OPI Did It On 'Em
*Sephora by OPI Happy Earth Day To Me
*Sephora by OPI A-ha! Moment

Here are some pics:

They are kind of abstract, but I think I actually like it in this way. It makes me want to eat an apple ;)
What do you think?
