Winter Gradient

Continuing with the Let It Snow! winter challenge. Already at week 13, we're almost at the finish line! Here is my entry for week 13: Winter Ombre/gradient. I went for gradient, because I like it more than ombre. The best gradient give a really awesome effect.

Polishes used:
~Catrice Be Naturally Crazy
~Essie Turquoise & Caicos

I chose these colors because in my opinion they really give a winter-like feeling. Be Naturally Crazy is a beautiful neutral color with a slight amount of purple and green glitter. Turquoise & Caicos is the lightest blue color I have in my collection. It's a really icy color, which I adore. Here are the pictures, hope you like them!

Winter Wonderland

Pretty ironic, since the snow is finally gone and the past few days have been great when we talk about the weather. Today the sky is actually blue with just a few cute sheep-like clouds. And the sun is shining! To be honest, it feels like it's the first time this year the sun is actually shining bright. The only thing which stops me from going all crazy outside is the damn coldness.

Looking back on the winter there have been some really pretty landscapes with snow and ice. For this manicure I was inspired by those landscapes. Using nude and cold colors I put together a really easy, but cute looking, mani. I do have to apologise about my cuticles. They really look horrible. I do think the glitter comes out really well in these pictures.

Valentine's Day

A little bit late, but who cares? (: Here are my Valentine's Day nails for the Let It Snow! Challenge week #11

Polishes used:
*Sephora by OPI A-ha! Moment
*OPI You Only Live Twice

Here are the pictures of the mani I came up with for this week. The quality looks bad and I really don't know how that happened. Maybe it's because of the lighting or the glitter in the polish, or maybe because the batteries of my camera were running low? It was really hard to focus, but this was the best I could do (: That's also the reason why I'm pretty late. I tried it again, but the quality of the pictures were actually worse than these.

Let It Snow! Challenge #10: Hot Chocolate

The weather is going crazy in the Netherlands. Then it snows, then it rains and it flushes the snow away, then it snows again... That's how it is going the past days. It's the weather where you stay inside because there's nothing fun to do in the crappy weather. And lets not talk about the fact that we have to cycle to school in this same crappy weather. The fun thing about these days is HOT CHOCOLATE! Sitting by the fireplace with a steamy cup of hot chocolate and whipped cream... yes please!

This manicure is inspired by the hot chocolate cups I got for Christmas. I think they're just too cute and it was the perfect way to cover up my uninspired mind.

Polishes used:
*OPI Pink Friday
*OPI Did You 'ear About Van Gogh?
*Sephora by OPI Happy Earth Day To  Me
*Sephora by OPI A-ha! Moment

A complete OPI-manicure I see now! Not really a surprise though, since OPI is my favorite polish brand available in the Netherlands. Here are the pictures! Tell me what you think about this manicure and how you like your hot chocolate the best (:

My Bucket List

I started making a bucket list, just for fun. I got the idea when I started seeing pictures on WeHaertIt and they inspired me a lot. I have been thinking about my life more lately, about what I want to do when I finish school and this bucket list I put together made it all a little bit more clear. There are also some things I want to do before I finish school and it's nice to have some things in my mind to be excited for and keep some motivation to live everyday to the fullest. Some things might sound a little bit obvious or weird, but these are the things which would be pretty cool if I could do them. Here is my bucket list, I hope you enjoy it and maybe get some inspiration for your own bucket list if you haven't got one already (:

Since I was a child I dreamed of getting on an adventure someday. And still, about ten years later, I feel something for exploring the world. I'm not satisfied with watching some sort of discovery channel on the television anymore. Don't get me wrong, I still like watching programs about nature, wildlife and countries I've never heard of before, but I just really want to see some of those beautiful places with my own eyes. But it's pretty easy to say I want to go on a lifetime adventure, sitting here behind my computer ;)

Let It Snow! Challenge #9: Snowmen

Finally. I'm walking quite a bit behind on the challenge, but I'm going to hurry a little bit so I'll be on the same week as the others. It has been pretty busy lately, so I was not able to work on the challenge. But here's week 9: snowmen! I hope you like it (:

I used salt to get the snowy-effect (and a cheaper alternative than those caviar-effect beads) and in my opinion it worked out pretty good. Om my ringfinger I made a black hat to give my nails a touch of snowmen.

January Favourites

January has ended and we're slowly moving on to the next month of the year. Here are some inspirational pictures I've been collecting past month which show my personal favourites of January and just pictures which made me smile.

The past month I've really overplayed the album Mylo Xyloto by Coldplay. I know, the album isn't very new anymore, but since a few weeks I really, really enjoyed their songs. Probably because I've been listening to the songtexts more and finding out that they really mean a lot to me. My personal favourite of them all is Paradise for sure. I guess because I'm really into 'exploring the world' and finding out who I actually am: searching for the 'paradise'. All the other songs have something special too, something which I can't really describe. I'm going to stop about it now, because I'm really exaggerating ;)

For my fashionable favourites I canot lie I have been (and still am) really into galaxy prints, peter pan collars and bows. The reason? No idea.
Radom things
Now Some other radom pictures which I think are funny, cute, beautiful, etc...

I hope you enjoyed this monthly favourites-kind of thing. Stay awesome, and I'll talk to you next time ;)
